Since DAY ONE, on this side of the fall of mankind in the garden of Eden, the evolution of our society has been an issue of knowledge. Knowledge is power, it is said, and this has proven in many cases to be absolutely true. In the medievals the Bible was forbidden by the Catholic Church, preventing ordinary people from reading it, and making it exclusive to the priesthood and associates, resulting in some of the worst atrocities registered in the history of mankind, from the money making machine that was the Purgatory teaching to the military persecution by the papal armies resulting in the deaths of between 50-150 million people. The Catholic Church claimed religious and political power as it witheld biblical knowledge from the people. As soon as the Protestant movement caught sail and the Bible became free to read for everybody through translations and later the printing press, the power of the Catholic Church declined up until the moment that the pope was arrested by Napoleon and ended up in a prison in St. Helena where he died in 1798. Knowledge reached the people and the truth brought the evil system down. It didn't disappear though, and will according to Bible prophecy be represented by another religious-political beast at the very end of this Earths history just before the return of Jesus Christ.
